Is the layout kept?
LibreOffice does the conversion, so fonts, tables and images survive. A PDF built from a scan holds no text, and no converter can invent it.
Does it cost anything?
No. It runs on open-source tools on one server, with no paid tier and no upload to a third-party service.
How long is the file kept?
An hour after the job finishes, then it is deleted. The row stays in History so you can run it again.
